On July 2, the 鈥淔amous City
in Lingnan路Beautiful Shaoguan
鈥?Photo Exhibition of Shaoguan
Culture and Tourism鈥?was
grandly held at Wanha Satama
Exhibition Center in Helsinki,
Finland.
The event was sponsored by
the People鈥檚 Government of
Shaoguan and jointly organized
by Press and Publication Bureau
of Shaoguan Municipality,
Culture, Radio, Television,
Tourism and Sports Bureau of
Shaoguan Municipality.
Shaoguan is a city in the
northern part of Guangdong
Province in China. It has a
history of more than 2,100 years
with profound cultural deposits.
Shaoguan has since ancient time
been a transport hub and civili-
zation tie linking the Maritime
and Land Silk Road.
The Central Plain culture,
Lingnan culture, and foreign
cultures from the Maritime Silk
Road integrated in the area and
developed innovatively, forming
the opening, inclusive, friendly
and warming features of
Shaoguan.
Fine Chinese Embroidery
Exhibition Brings 鈥淪plendid
China鈥?to Berlin
On the evening of July 5,
more than 100 Chinese and
German guests and visitors
attended the opening ceremony
of the exhibition of 鈥淪plendid
China 鈥?Fine Works of Suzhou
Embroidery, China鈥檚 Intangible
Cultural Heritage鈥?held at China
Cultural Center in Berlin. This
exhibition jointly organized by
the China Cultural Center in
Berlin and the Prince Kung鈥檚
Palace Museum (PKPM) of the
Ministry of Culture and Tourism
of the People鈥檚 Republic of
China.
In the lecture, Chen Hongying, nature and life. Through close
a master of arts and crafts in
Jiangsu province and the
inheritor of Suzhou Embroidery,
introduced the long history,
inheritance,development and
technological characteristics of
Suzhou Embroidery, and the
works exhibited, which gave the
audience a deeper understanding
of Suzhou Embroidery. After the
opening ceremony, Chen
Hongying showed the embroi-
dery process of Suzhou Embroi-
dery works,the audiences were
amazed by the vivid and
beautiful pictures and the
exquisite skills.

International Art Village Came
to New Zealand for Culture
Exchange
From July 10 to 12, Artists
from Sichuan Nongyuan Inter-
national Art Village visited New
Zealand for culture exchange.
This activity was held by
Auckland International Art
Space and China Cultural Center
in New Zealand. Yang Xiaoliang,
Jiang Rong, Ren Xiansheng, Liu
Shu, Li Lianhui and other artists
from Sichuan Nongyuan Inter-
national Art Village visited New
Zealand artists鈥?studios and
galleries and had in-depth
exchanges and discussions with
local artists.
The artists also visited the
National Museum of New
Zealand, which features interac-
tivity and the concept of protects
exchange, the artists not only
enhanced their friendship with
each other, but also enhanced
their appreciation and under-
standing of artistic works of
different countries, types and
themes.
